Green River Formation Fish Fossil
50–55 million years old

This specimen comes from the renowned Green River Formation in Wyoming, a series of ancient lake deposits formed during the early Eocene epoch. Preserved in fine-grained limestone, the fossil captures three Diplomystus dentatus and one Priscacara species which lived in a warm, subtropical prehistoric freshwater environment.
